Policy on the use of artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as AI) AI and AI-enabled technologies
The publication adheres to the " Recommendations for the Use of AI in Scientific Communication " developed by the European Association of Scientific Editors .
Large Language Models (LLM), in particular ChatGPT , Claude , DeepSeek do not meet the criteria for authorship, because they do not have the appropriate contribution to be considered an author, and their affiliation with authorship cannot be guaranteed by signing a License Agreement.
If LLM has been used in the course of the research, this should be appropriately stated in the abstract of the article in the "Research Methods" section. If authors of manuscripts plan to use LLM, they should report the nature and extent of their use.
The authors are responsible for the correctness, completeness, and accuracy of the information provided in the manuscript, which was prepared using LLM.
Authors are required to confirm the absence of plagiarism in their manuscript, not limited to the text, but including images, tables, and other data generated using LLM. All materials must be attributed and, where appropriate, fully cited.
Authors should disclose in their manuscripts the use of AI and AI-enabled technologies. If these tools are used, this should be noted and described appropriately in the text of the manuscript. An explanation of how AI or AI-enabled tools were used in the process of creating or modifying the image should be included, as well as the name of the model or tool, version and extension number, and manufacturer.
Authors should not list AI and AI-enabled technologies as authors or co-authors, nor cite AI as authors. Authorship implies responsibilities and tasks that can only be assigned and performed by natural persons.
The fact of using AI should be indicated in the text of the article in the appropriate section, at the end of the article. Images, diagrams, drawings that were generated by artificial intelligence should be marked with the note " Imagined with AI".
Failure to comply with this policy may be grounds for rejection or retraction of the article.
The appropriateness of using LLM will be further assessed by the editor and specialists during the double-blind review stage.
Reviewers should refrain from uploading manuscripts into the LLM software or using other LLM technologies that could compromise confidentiality. This confidentiality requirement extends to the reviewer's report (review), as it may contain confidential information about the manuscript and/or authors.
Editors should not upload a submitted manuscript or any part of it into a generative AI tool, as this may violate the confidentiality and proprietary rights of authors. This confidentiality requirement applies to all communications about the manuscript, including any notices or letters of decision. For this reason, editors should not upload their letters into an AI tool, even if this is done only for the purpose of correcting errors and improving readability. If an editor has concerns about an author or reviewer violating the AI Policy, he or she should report this to the editorial board.
