INVESTIGATION OF WEAR-RESISTANT COATINGS BASED ON TUNGSTEN CARBIDE, APPLIED BY HIGH-SPEED GAS-FLAME METHOD HVOF FOR AVIATION PARTS

Abstract


The results of a study of coatings for aviation parts based on tungsten carbide applied by the high-speed gas-flame method of HVOF on imitation specimens from steels of various grades and titanium with the purpose of replacing the galvanic chromium process for improving the reliability and durability of the parts and components of the airplane chassis are presented. The studies included tests on adhesion strength of coating with the substrate, metallographic analysis, corrosion tests.
