THE ROLE OF INVESTMENT IN FORMATION COMPETITIVE ECONOMY

Abstract

The presented article deals with the state and the main preconditions for the development of the in-vestment climate in the republic, the directions and conditions for the development of the economy, and the possibilities for its growth. The article points out that, together with the national natural, production and labor resources, foreign investment creates a high cumulative effect when introducing progressive technologies, modern methods of organizing and managing production. The author generalized that the increase in the presence of the private sector in the sectors of the economy through the sale of state property is achieved only through attracting professional and strategic foreign investors. For this purpose, in Uzbekistan in recent years, a program has been implemented to transfer loss-making, low-profit and economically insolvent enterprises at zero cost to investors who are ready to undertake the obligations to restore and create on their basis new modern production capacities.
