TRENDS OF HEALTH TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

Abstract


In this paper world trends in the development of health tourism are given. Existing approaches to the definition of «health tourism» are studied. The paper assesses the dynamics of health tourism development and sanatoriums and resort facilities in the Republic of Belarus. It is noted that sanatorium and health resort services are in demand among citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Italy, Israel, China, etc. The main factors contributing to the development of health tourism in Belarus have been identified. It is necessary to ensure the development of new integrated tourist products, as well as to establish partnerships between the tourism industry enterprises to ensure the competitiveness of this type of tourism.
