MONEY-CREDIT POLICY OF THE NATIONAL BANK OF BELARUS IN 2010-2016
Abstract
The article examines the economy of the Republic of Belarus, which is classified as a small open economy. In the post-Soviet space, it is believed that Belarus has a peculiar model of socio-economic development, which reflects the term socially-oriented market economy (SORE). The article analyzes the principles of construction and mechanisms of the functioning of a specific model of the Belarusian economy in 2010-2016. Particular attention is paid to the last three years, as the country's economy is in a state of stagflation. Depressive decline in GDP began in the second half of 2014, accompanied by a high two-digit inflation. The article examines the macroeconomic trends of the country and the functioning of money markets, as well as assesses the regulatory impact of the government of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank on the macrosystem and the money markets that serve it, which are affected by the strong turbulence of international markets.
