APPROACH TO
DESIGNING THE THERMAL TUBE OF VACUUMED SOLAR COLLECTOR

This paper proposes
an approach of calculation of heat pipe (HP) main technical characteristics. There
are observed the advantages of HP using in solar energy, and are given the samples
of existing design of the heat-transfer devices. As a sample it is provided the
calculation of heat pipe for solar vacuumed collector. The calculation is based
on data of energy income of solar radiation to inclined surface of solar
collectors, as well as on the basis of thermophysical
properties of coolant. This approach is universal for the heat pipes with a
homogeneous internal structure (in the form of a grid) and allows us to compare
heat transfer characteristics of the HP by using different materials and coolant.
