DESCRIPTIVENESS phase
portrait for Microwave measurements of geometric parameters air-gas channel OF
GAS TURBINE ENGINES
A.V. Maslovskiy, M.G. Bakulin
A
new method for studying the processes occurring in the flow of gas turbine engines. The proposed
method is based on the construction and analysis of the phase portrait of the
signal in a microwave system for measuring radial clearance. A simple model
shows that the change of geometric parameters of the elements flowing part of
the gas turbine engine results in various changes in the phase portrait.
Analysis of the phase portrait can detect these changes, measure them and
divide the contribution of different components to modify the same parameter.
For example, to determine the component of the change of the gap caused by the
lengthening of the shovels, and the component caused by changes in body size. The results of the practical use of this method for bench tests of
aircraft gas turbine engine.
Key words: radial clearance, rotor blades, blade
elongation, axial displacement, the phase portrait.
