Gas
flow in turbine cascade is investigated by numerical simulation method. The
problem of Inviscid ideal
gas flow in turbine cascade is solved. Profile flow separation regions are
determined using boundary layer theory approach and flow separation criteria.
Then profile geometry is modified in order to minimize separation zone and
correspondingly diminish loses and eddy formation intensity. Optimized profile
performance is compared with original one via numerical solution of
corresponding Navier-Stokes equations for viscous
flow. Comparison of numerical results with experimental data is presented.
