The spectral emissivity experimental data of
lutetium dodecaboride with three crystallographic
direction [100], [110], [111], lutetium
tetraboride with [001] direction and lutetium diboride with
[001] direction single crystals
and its temperature dependences are presented. The near-surface layers
structure and composition of these single crystals before and after their
heating were studied by scanning electron microscopy method, X-ray microanalysis,
X-ray phase analysis, and relation between el and surface composition
and structure was established.
Key words: lutetium borides, single crystal, spectral emissivity, phase composition, surface structure, actual
and brightness temperatures.
