Development of a transport system using a combination of high and low thrust engines for payloads delivery from a low initial orbit into high working orbits (up to the geostationary orbit) is a perspective direction in the field of  interorbital transportation. Design-ballistic researches of characteristics of spacecrafts insertion into GSO by means of two-stage system as a part of middle-class launch vehicles (type “Soyuz 2-1b”, “Zenit-2SB”), including the booster (type “Fregat”) and the electric propulsion transport module, are carried out. It is shown, that such transport system allows to deliver on GSO a payload comparable on mass with a payload delivered on GSO by means of heavy-class launch vehicles with a boosters on basis of chemical engines.

Key words: middle-class launch vehicle, booster, electric propulsion transport module, electric propulsion system, insertion into geostationary orbit.
