Torsion vibrations in the
ship shafts with the LOW speed diesel engine accounitng torque
distributions
A.I. Tarasenko
Low speed diesel
engine is viewed as torsion system with distributing parameters consist from
wheels (cylinders compartments, rowing propeller) connected with the shafts.
Shafts can be imponderable (harshness only) or have distribute characteristic.
Shafts can be under torque distributions that are caused by shafts material
hysteresis or by damping in the bearings. The method of calculation of the
characteristics of the torsional vibrations during
stationary and transitional processes of the system diesel-shaft-propeller
accounting torque distributions and variable diameters of shaft.
