LIQUID JET COOLER BASED IMPROVED CRYOGENIC BENCH COMPLEX

Variants of
modernization of the liquid hydrogen ground-based storage, cooling and
refueling system of the superheavy Energy launch vehicle
Block C by liquid jet cooler replacement of the traditional heat exchangers
were considered. In addition to large stand design simplification and materials
consumption reduction it allow to realized the closed circuit circulation of
the liquid hydrogen fuel at the launch vehicle fuel tank thermostating.
This provides both cryogenic fuel component saving and the fueling and thermostating
processes safety enhancement. Proposed
in this article technical solutions can be used for development of new and modernization
of existing systems for storage, cooling and fueling operation for liquid
hydrogen launch vehicle fuel tank.
