STRAIN GAUGING APPLIED TO FULL-SIZE ENGINE

Under consideration are peculiarities of providing a strain gauging for
critical parts of GTE compressor rotors. Location of a current-collecting
device defines its design. Unavailability to place the current-collecting
device in the engine inlet, cold section urges the latter to be fitted in the
hot exhaust area of the engine. This, in its turn, dictates strong requirements
to assuring a reliable cooling of the current-collecting device parts. During the conducted
researches get resistive-strain from workings
resistive-strain sensor, glued on rotor details, requiring a practical
strengthening estimation.
