ABOUT UNSIMILAR MODES OF GAS TURBINE ENGINE GAS
GENERATOR AT DIFFERENT INLET AIR TEMPERATURE

The
operation lines of the gas generator compressor and turbine at different inlet
air temperature are
considered. The dependence of their positions from
inlet air temperature are shown. The operation line
displacement at a fixed area of the critical section behind of the gas
generator is explained by similarity violation of the gas generator modes. It
is shown that the non-similarity of gas generator modes at different inlet air
temperatures is due to change relative fuel consumption. Other causes of the
operation line displacement by varying the inlet air temperature are
identified. Conditions of similarity gas
generator modes are formulated. The results can be used in the recalculation
results of gas generator tests from atmospheric conditions on the conditions,
according gas generator modes
in the engine.
